Stop Freaking Out & You’ll Have More Energy

When things go wrong as they sometimes will, and the road you’re trudging seems all uphill… **

JUST… PAUSE.

Feel the temperature of the air moving across your skin.
Listen to the chirp of a bird or the whir of a fan.
Smell the bread baking down the street.
Taste the tang of the lemon you put in your water.
Notice each of the colors on that one leaf on the plant by the window.

Touch. Hear. Smell. Taste. See.

A pause is an intentional action that lets us connect with our best self by using our senses.

Pausing helps us act instead of RE-act.

When we add a pause practice throughout the day we sharpen our focus, we lower our stress, we increase our self confidence, and we see opportunities within obstacles.

A purposeful pause helps us calibrate. We step out of energy-draining busyness and flow into energizing efficiency.

Pausing can be as simple as focusing on your body for two or three slow breaths, in and out through the nose.
That's only like, 30-40 seconds to immediately lower your blood pressure and unclench your jaw. AWESOME!
(Try inhaling for a count of 4, wait a beat, and then exhale for a count of 8. You don’t even have to close your eyes, just soften your focus.)

Pausing gives us space to feel gratitude, patience, curiosity, playfulness, and inspiration.

Pausing places moments of calm within the inevitable storms of life.

There's power in the pause, Traveler.

Gift yourself.
